A nationally known complex of gardens begun in the mid-19th century by Gov. William Alexander Graham and his wife, Susan Washington Graham. Includes a rock garden, scree garden, woodland plantings and large areas of sunny gardens with unique color and planting schemes. Unusual trees and trellises, fences and arbors enhance the gardens. Guided tours available by appointment on Tues. and Thurs. at 10 am and Sat at 10 am and 2 pm. Call for other appointment times.
